What? Why? Who reads more than one book at once? *raises hand*
Admit it, we’ve all been there. The concept of reading more than one book at a time was a very bizarre thing to understand for me. I used to be someone who only reads one book at a time and will not start reading another book until I finish it. Oh, how time has changed.
For the last couple of years, I’ve found myself stop reading certain books and pick another one up along the way, before continuing the previous book. I don’t know what triggered the change, but it works for me. I had the idea to write this post as I found myself doing it even more often; even right now, I’m in between two out of the three books I recently bought.
A Court of Wings and Ruin? More like A Court of Feels and Even More Feels
Title: A Court of Wings and Ruin Author: Sarah J. Maas Published: May 2nd, 2017
A nightmare, I’d told Tamlin. I was the nightmare.
Feyre has returned to the Spring Court, determined to gather information on Tamlin’s maneuverings and the invading king threatening to bring Prythian to its knees. But to do so she must play a deadly game of deceit—and one slip may spell doom not only for Feyre, but for her world as well. As war bears down upon them all, Feyre must decide who to trust amongst the dazzling and lethal High Lords—and hunt for allies in unexpected places.
I finally read some non-fiction, European history books
I went to Singapore two weeks ago for a short weekend getaway and came back with three books. I’m pretty sure some of you are probably like Huh? Only three? I know!
I went to visit my favourite bookstore in Singapore and spent hours in there. I did plan to go crazy and buy as many YA/NA books I can get my hands on until I found myself browsing through history sections. Whaaat? I know. Like I mentioned, bookstore visit is one way of finding new reads and releases in the genre I don’t usually read. This time, it’s all about the history of European royals.
I haven’t blogged in a month! This is something that I didn’t realise until I looked at my last blog post and saw that it was posted on June 25th. Insane! A short life update: the last one and a half month has been pretty crazy. I was admitted to hospital for two weeks. That was also two weeks of staring at white walls, wondering when I can go home. I also started a new job so I’ve been very focus on that as well.
Anyway, back to the fun stuff. In the last month I disappeared, I found another thing to obsessed over: Podcast. In short, podcast is dubbed as on-demand internet radio; it is a series of digital audio files which you can download and listen to. Thank you, Wikipedia. I think it’s pretty obvious that podcast is really popular at the moment. I’ve seen many people online talk about their favourite podcast shows or even starting their own podcast. Hence, why I decided to share my love for podcast on today’s post.
