Some love is infinite

“Don’t have a best friend that’s a girl” — this was the advice from my older cousin. I didn’t take it. Because he followed with, “friends don’t f*ck friends. And you’ll want to f*ck her.”

It was terrible advice.

My cousin should’ve told me that being best friends with Baylee Wright — since she was twelve — would be the best and worst decision of my life.

He should have told me to protect her from what was coming.

He should have told me that when a darkness crawled towards us, there’d be no safety net.

Now I’ve signed back on to the same Vegas acrobatic show as Baylee, working together for the first time in years. And she tells me that she’s having trouble in a certain “area” of her life — because of our past.

“You can help me fix it,” she says.

And then she hands me a list.

Recommended for readers 18+ for mature content.

“It’s just me and her. We”

Krista and Becca Ritchie has a new book out and of course it’s as fabulous as their other books.

First, this book is in the same acrobatic world as their previous book Amour Amour. Though you don’t have to read Amour Amour to read this one. This is a complete standalone.

I will start by saying that I LOVE THE KOTOVAS! So it’s so nice to read about them again. I really like how the issue between the two main characters is being discussed right from the start. I initially thought that the issue is going to be dragged out to make it such a big great mystery. Thank God it wasn’t. I can’t really go into the issues because I will spoil the story if I do. All I have to say is how majority of the time I just want to hug both characters and tell them that it will all be fine and worth it. Luka and Baylee both have gone through so much. The two pretty much just survive through live for the past 5 years (unless when they are on stage).

Luka is REALLY sweet. I’m pretty sure he is the sweetest and least threatening Kotova (unless he’s being provoked). The only thing I don’t like about Luka is how much he hides things from his siblings. I wish he opened up more to them because his siblings care so much about him. Baylee is so perfect for Luka. She’s such a strong character and I JUST LOVE HER SO MUCH.

The side characters in this book are very entertaining. Many scenes that include the Kotovas in the story made me laugh. I’m so glad that we got to meet and learn more about the Kotovas. I initially thought that there might be animosity between the cousins because they weren’t as present in Amour Amour and how wrong I was. The Kotovas are one hell of a family. We finally get to meet Sergei, Luka’s older brother who was traveling with other circus company before he finally went to Vegas. I felt bad at how Timo and Luka treated him at first but thank God they came around. I love how there’s more Katya in the book. It’s fun and endearing at the same time to see how the brothers struggle with her growing up.

This book was definitely beyond my expectation. In comparison to Amour Amour, it is a very different kind of story even though it’s set in the same universe. While Thora and Nik’s relationship in Amour Amour was more passionate and full of sexual tension, Luka and Baylee’s relationship is just really pure. There’s a lot of angst in this book. For any angst junkies out there, this book is for you! If you don’t like angst, still buy this book because the angst is not added to just create drama. This book invoked my emotion like no other books. Many times I found myself holding my breath while I was reading because I was nervous for Baylee and Luka. This book to me is all about never losing hope and to believe in love.

I highly recommend this book to everyone; especially those who enjoy gut wrenching romance. I fall in love with this universe even more and I’m hoping there will be another books about the other Kotovas. I will gladly read more about them and the world they live in anytime.
