The Score is the third book in the Off-Campus series. I love the first two books so I was really waiting for this one and it didn’t disappoint.

This books focuses on Dean, the manwhore of the team. He’s handsome, rich, and gets all the attention until Allie Hayes came to his life one night. Allie is a friend of Dean’s best friend girlfriend (complicated, I know). She stayed over at the guys’ house because she wanted to avoid her ex boyfriend.

Allie just broke up with her on-and-off boyfriend and this time, she really wanted to cut-off the relationship. Knowing that her ex will visit her dorm room so Hannah, her roommate told her to go to her boyfriend’s place and stayed there. In the house, she met Dean. Knowing his reputation, Allie wasn’t interested. She is a relationship kind of girl; she doesn’t do casual sex. However, Dean was persistent and convinced Allie to have casual sex with him. I didn’t blame Allie for caving in to Dean because he is charming and tenacious. If I were Allie, I knew I didn’t stand a chance.

My favourite thing of the book is the banter. Elle Kennedy is the queen of banter. I couldn’t help but chuckle and laugh at some of the lines. Dean and Allie have mean banter and it’s so entertaining.

In terms of the relationship between the two, even though it starts with sex, there was no insta-love. I really love that we get to see how the two fall for each other. There was also no crazy drama between the two before they finally get together. They just really took time to know each other and finally be together. When they do, I can’t help but to smile and swoon and said FINALLY because I know how much they both really like each other.

Other than romance, we get to see their characters grow. Allie had to deal with her future after college. Dean went through a hard time and I really hate the way he deals with it but I like how he owns up to his mistakes. The experiences they went through are things that happen or could happen in real college experience. Also, the bromance between the guys is another plus point for this book. It’s really nice to see Dean, Logan, Garrett and Tuck who live together in a house are always loyal with each other and have each other’s back. They are also hilarious together. I’ve highlighted some of their conversations because they’re so funny.

From many books I’ve read about college romance, this is definitely in the top 10. It will make you laugh, swoon, and cry. I really love this book and I think everyone should read it. If you’re looking for a new adult book to read, pick this one!
